"TH"e End!!!

We did it!!!  We actually finished all the phonemes for the year!  I realize I haven't actually put up all the lesson plans, but once I've finised mapping out my homeschool year for first grade I'll try to fill in the gaps here.  Until then, here is a rundown of our last week...

"X" Art and Math Combo

I realized just before starting school this week that I never finished lesson plans for the letters x, z, qu and th (as in that).  Oops!  This week I just used Google to help me find "x" activities and I made this little gem of an activity on the fly.  Here are some other activities I had us do...

Vowel Tents

See!! Proof!!

We have added long vowel tents to our short vowel sticks.  True to "girl form", she is very strong in her reading and writing.  Memorization and "thinking" skills definitely fall under the "boy form" column in our house, and I will take this moment to mention that we switched this weeks verse to I Cor. 16:14.  I took for granted how easy it was for Brody to memorize verses! :)
